 Robin

Wounded
and
begging
for respite from your own
misery and self-pity.

You spoke of
virtue
but the wings of
truth and respect
had long since taken flight
and
vices of steel coils and
deception and greed
were now your hosts.

I wish to leave you,
in
your current state
as
I never did care much for
wounded birds.

Rachel's Poetry

Rachel's poetry comes from the heart and
reflects her journey as a woman through
the uncertainty of love; from passion to
heartache, hurt to healing and
powerlessness to empowerment
and finding the strength and courage
to love again.
